
Admission for academic year 2026/27
To qualify for admission, an applicant must:
● be a law student or law Ph.D. student or,
● be a graduate of a law school or,
● be a student, Ph.D. student or graduate of other disciplines (e.g. linguistics, political science, economy) and have a basic knowledge of the Polish or foreign legal system, and
● have a thorough and conversational knowledge of English including legal language; and
Register in the IRK System and submit the following documents:
- cover letter in English with an explanation of the applicant’s interest in participating in the program and career goals
- a completed Application_Form_2026.27 together with one recent photo in the ID format (dowód osobisty);
- an USOS transcript (or copy of index) with grades and subjects from all previous years (students) or copy of the diploma (graduates)
- curriculum vitae in English
- evidence of proficiency in English language such as: copy of a diploma from a foreign school in an English-speaking country, copy of a diploma from schools specializing in English language, or copy of the results of an English proficiency exams, e.g. TOEFL, if available
All required documents must be submitted to the office of Center for American Law Studies – Lipowa 4, 00-316 Warsaw or send by e-mail in one pdf file to: cpa@wpia.uw.edu.pl by July 15, 2026
Applicants may be invited for individual interviews.
Fees:
Apply until May 30, 2026 and receive Early Bird Special. The discount is 250 PLN.
Tuition for UW students: The amount of tuition for UW students for the one year program in 2026/27 is 4.000 PLN.
Tuition for students from other Universities The amount of tuition for other students for the one year program is 5.500 PLN
Tuition for graduates: The tuition for graduates is 8.000 PLN.
Tuition for Legal Trainees (aplikanci): Special discount rate in the amount of 10% from full tuition will be applied for legal trainees (aplikanci: radcowscy, adwokaccy, sędziowscy, notarialni) – 7.200 PLN
Tuition for advocates, legal counselors, judges, notaries: Special discount rate in the amount of 5% from full tuition will be applied for legal counselors, attorneys, judges, prosecutors and notaries- 7.600 PLN
All applicants may submit a motion to divide the tuition into two installment payments, with a short justification, to the Director of the Program.
The entire tuition or the first installment must be paid by September 30, 2026
Classes will be held in person at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw at Lipowa 4 in Warsaw.
Online classes will be available only for the participants who live and study outside of Warsaw.
